He was THE man. Some hated him (I still laugh at The Expired’s Joe Kidd is a Wanker song. Funny stuff) . Many loved him, his music, his words. Blasting Concept was a ritual reading material. Carburetor Dung was the band to see live. Boo Hoo was the haunting anthem. All in the first half of the 90s. I was growing up then and I still am now.

Ricecooker is currently in my frequent web reading list. Managed by Joe himself. Articles by him and sometimes Hisham Rais would contribute his point of views. Other writers would butt in once in a while. Listing of events, gigs, indie festivals, this and that and so much more can be acquired from Ricecooker.

Anyway, Joe’s recent article (as of this time lah) caught my interest. It’s funny. It’s something that I just couldn’t help but to share with others.

“Jangan Hisap Dada”: That Joke Isn’t Funny Anymore – Part One and Two of Many

Maybe that’s just it. An article that reminds us about our (my!) past, our (my!) lives, our (my!) own experience, our (my!) ups and downs. An article that made me smile, at least.

Can’t wait for the next part.
